The
library at MIT is replete with the latest technical books
required for learning and teaching all disciplines. It has
a huge range of engineering and technological books, magazines
and journals. Besides, the library has a good collection
of books on management, philosophy, humanities, religion,
Vedic studies, literature, psychology, education and fiction.
At present, the total number of books in the library exceeds
25,000 (including more than 16,000 technical books).
The MIT Library has shifted to the new 'Shri Sant Dnyaneshwar
World Peace Library' building in December 1996. As per government
regulations a Book-Bank is available in the MIT library
for backward class students.
To facilitate perusal for the students, a Reference Section,
Reading Hall, and a Circulation Section have been established
in three halls presently occupied by the library. Further,
a Periodicals Section has been organized in one more adjacent
hall. |
