With experience in the IT industry for 25 years, Madhu has the ability to deliver the latest technology for the benefits of his clients. He founded Algorhythms in the year 1986 with the main focus in the field of library automation. The library field in India recognizes the credit due to Madhu for playing a very integral part in the automation of libraries in India. Madhu is an alumnus of IIT Mumbai - having done his B.Tech in Civil Engineering in the year 1973.

His wide experience includes diverse areas of computer applications in Banking, Numerically controlled machines, Computer Aided Design, Management Information Systems, Computer Aided Software Engineering, Compiler Construction, Information Retrieval and Library Automation.


Some Other professional accomplishments:

Co-developer for Voting lists project taken up by CDAC, (a leading Government undertaking). Database of voters was created in 14 different Indian Languages using Transliteration of proper nouns in roman script to Indian scripts using phonetic rules of Indian languages.

Conducted training course “Usage of Prolog language” for Approva Systems Pvt. Ltd., a company that deals in areas of data mining applications for many US based clients.

Development of a Part Programming System for wire-cut EDM machines. A part-programming system helps users to describe geometries of parts to be manufactured and the tool dimensions. It produces commands suitable for numerically controlled machines in the “APT” language.

Development of a translator of the HP-GL to APT like language for a photo-plotter. (A photo-plotter is used to create drawings on a film, especially used in the printed circuit manufacturing industry.)

Developed software for systems that make a PC capable of working as a telex, or a telephone. These systems involved using SIO cards.

Developed MIS solutions for many industrial units in the Bombay, Pune region.
Working abroad:

Prior to setting up Algorhythms in 1986, he has worked for Arthur Delittle Systems and Data General in Boston, USA while he was with Patni Computer systems, India.

Publication: Published a paper titled “An Interactive Application for Facetted Classification Systems” in the National Seminar on Classification in the Digital Environment at the Sarada Ranganathan Endowment for Library Science, Bangalore in the year 2001.

Membership: Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and agriculture, Pune, India.
